COVID-19 Report: 1,170 New COVID-19 Cases at 8 p.m. on Dec. 14

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 p.m. on Monday reported 1,170 new COVID-19 cases after testing 19,115 lab specimens.

24 COVID-19 patients lost their lives due to the disease while 1,336 patients have been discharged from hospitals. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar had reached 109,512 with 2,292 deaths at 8 p.m. on the 14th of December, and 88,131 COVID-19 patients have been discharged so far. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.

Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
