Authorities and medical professionals have been making efforts for COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment.
In Sittwe of Rakhine State, 7 more patients have recovered from the disease and they have been discharged from the hospital on Sunday.
The recovered ones have been put under a 7-day home quarantine. From the 5th September to the 18th October, a total of 1,068 patients have been discharged from the hospital in Sittwe.
Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.
Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
