Authorities and medical professionals have been working hard to prevent, control and treat COVID-19 disease. In Sittwe of Rakhine State, 3 more COVID-19 positive patients were discharged from hospital on the 6th of September as they tested negative for the disease for two times. The recovered patients have been put under home quarantine and will have to undergo the tests again.

Superintendent, Sittwe General Hospital, Dr. Zaw Lwin said “If positive patients test negative for COVID-19 for two times, they are discharged from hospital. However, they are put under home quarantine. We all must follow the COVID-19 guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sports for prevention and control of the disease.”

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
