COVID-19 Quarantine Centers Reopened: Prevention, Control, Treatment Measures In Nay Pyi Taw

Under the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, 4 quarantine centers have now been reopened along with arrangements for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 patients in Nay Pyi Taw Council area. 

In order to prevent the resurgence of the COVID-19 epidemic, 3 quarantine centers at Dekkhina Thiri Township 50 bedded hospital, Ottara Thiri 50 bedded hospital and at Lewe Stadium and the New Ayar quarantine center have been reopened in line with the rules and regulations. In the area, till September 14, the total number of people exposed to COVID-19 have reached 70 and they have been quarantined in these 4 centers - confirmed cases of COVID-19 was 167 cases till 14th September in Nay Pyi Taw.

Director, Department of Public Health, Dr. Than Naing Soe said “The main health care activities and raising awareness talks such as educating people to wear masks properly, especially in crowded places and conducting mask campaigns to spread awareness are being carried out for public health in Nay Pyi Taw.”

Educative talks have been conducted for teachers and students to wear masks and it’s necessary to inform and notify the relevant health department if there are COVID-19 outbreak and suspected cases.

Due to the resurgence of COVID-19 infection rate, special cares are being made to carry out the preventive measures against the pandemic. People are advised to follow the main preventive measures such as wearing masks, washing hands frequently and taking COVID-19 booster doses in addition to fully vaccination to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission.
