Courtesy call: MoEA Union Minister met with SDHS Minister of Thailand

The Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint who is currently in Thailand under the 2nd Ethnic Cultural Exchange Program paid a courtesy call to the Minister of Social Development and Human Security of the Kingdom of Thailand H.E. Mr. ChutiKrairikshiat 3 PM local time on 24th January.

At the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on acceleration of Thailand-Myanmar existing relations and partnership, exchange of ethnic cultural traditions and customs, cooperation between the two ministries for the mutual interests of ethnic nationalities and the facilitation and promotion of socio-economic development of the countries in Mekong-Langcang region.

Together with the union minister, Kayin State Minister for ethnic affairs U San Ko, Taninthayi Region Minister for ethnic affairs U Saw Martin Luthar, Myanmar Ambassador to Thailand U Chit Swe, head of mission U Maw Bala and officials and the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security of the Kingdom of Thailand and officials, it’s learnt.
