Counter-Terrorism Operation: Security forces repel terrorists in Madaya

In order to interrupt the commodity flow of the nation and to cover their expenses on committing terrorist activities, PDF terrorist insurgents are looting and attacking the passenger cruises and cargo vessels travel along Ayeyawady River.

With the collaboration of the local informants who can’t accept the inhumane acts of the insurgents, the security forces conducted counter-terrorism operation starting on 20thSeptember within villages in Madaya Township where the terrorist insurgents were temporarily sheltered.

Due to the vigorous counter attacks of the security forces, the insurgents retreated from the villages. During the continuous security operations, the security forces seized bunkers, tunnels and handmade mines within the villages.

Terrorist insurgents have been committing disruptive activities and launching attacks on residential areas sheltering in the villages along Ayeyawaday River since 2021. As of today, the insurgents have committed a total of 146 attacks on passenger cruises and cargo ships.

The security forces are conducting necessary security operations continuously to protect the lives and properties of the innocent civilians, and the civilians who can’t accept the inhumane acts of the insurgents are encouraged to secretly report the activities of the insurgents to the security forces to uphold the peace and stability within the region.
