






Field Training Exercise organized by the ADMM Plus Experts’ Working Group on Counter-Terrorism, jointly organized by Myanmar and Russia, was held at Sergeevsky Training Ground in Primorsky Krai, Vladivostok, from the 26th to the 29th of September. Myanmar military officers who participated in the exercise arrived in Vladivostok on the 22nd and conducted preparatory measures from the 23rd to the 25th.
On the 26th, a military parade to mark the opening ceremony of the Field Military Exercise was held at Sergeevsky Training Ground. Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy, Air) General Maung Maung Aye attended the event, along with officers and other ranks from ASEAN member states and partner countries, including Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Russia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The Commander of the Russia Pacific Fleet delivered the opening speech, and the military parade continued as per the agenda.
After the opening ceremony, General Maung Maung Aye oversaw the temporary Training Camp where participants prepared for the exercise. In the afternoon, the Field Training Exercise continued, with Co-Chairs from Myanmar and Russia delivering speeches. The training was conducted in two parts: training with commanding units and practical training by field units. From the 27th to the 28th of September, the training with commanding units took place at the Far Eastern Federal University.
Led by representatives from Myanmar and Russia, the participants discussed the operation plan drafted during the Table Top Exercise hosted in Myanmar, sought approval for the training arrangements, and drafted the first phase of counter-terrorism operations. The preparation for the practical training by field units took place from the 23rd to the 28th of September. On the 29th, military units from various countries conducted an operation drill, raiding the area controlled by terrorists.
At the closing ceremony, General Maung Maung Aye delivered a speech and presented honorary awards to the participant countries. A dinner was hosted by the Commander of the Russian Pacific Fleet. During the training period, participants took study tours to prominent places in Russia.
