Coordination Meetings: Investments and tourism development in Kachin State

Kachin State Supervisory Committee for Village Project held its coordination meeting on 18th January.

Patron of the committee Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan discussed that out of 8 billion kyats assistance from the State Economic Promotion Fund, 7 billion kyats allotment have been handed over to make investments in agriculture, livestock breeding and production sectors after making field inspection.

He urged all to cooperate in implementation of the work process for providing the remaining fund to the MSME businesses and agriculture and livestock breeding sector in far-flung areas. Officials reported on the provision of capital fund in respective sectors, arrangements for conducting field inspection, and plans to be carried out in line with the financial rules and regulations.

In the afternoon, the Chief Minister attended a Tourism Working Committee meeting and discussed for granting license for tourism industry, cleaning and beautifying of tourism related infrastructures, human resource development for providing better services, developing new tour destinations and cooperation with the related departments and local residents.
