










A coordination meeting to successfully hold the 2025 Multi-Party Democracy General Election in Kachin State was held at the State Government Office on November 21. Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan attended the meeting and made an opening remarks, highlighting that elections are essential for building a free and fair democratic nation.
He urged field inspection teams to ensure that all citizens aged 18 and above are included in the voter list. He also instructed polling station officers, deputy officers, voter list checkers, machine operators, and ink staff to strictly follow election laws and procedures.
Security organizations were urged to give special attention before, during, and after the election period. Officials reported on township-level preparations, voter collection processes, arrival of voting machines, advance votes, training for polling station officers, and security plans.
The Chief Minister called for coordinated efforts to ensure the election is held smoothly and successfully. After that, a coordination meeting of the State Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Lands Management Committee was held.
The Chief Minister, as Committee Chairman, instructed to manage land applications according to national policies, ensuring effective use for agriculture, production, job creation, and socio-economic development. The meeting discussed 47 land application cases and other proposals and reviewed each case in line with laws and procedures.
