Coordination Meeting: Union Minister of Electric Power met with officials

Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han held a coordination meeting with with the responsible officials from the power plants, national grid and sub-stations at Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 19th April.

In his opening speech, the Union Minister said it is needed to implement successfully for the future tasks in the 2023-2024 fiscal year. He added that electricity access is very important for development of the state's economy.

In order to demand the need of electricity, it is needed to carry out to generate electricity from the possible sources of energy. He continued that efforts are being made to achieve 100 % electricity access by 2025.

He also instructed to pay attention to ensure supply of electricity to the public at full voltage with the least of power losses. He also stressed the need to have cautious for fire safety and to arrange systematic preventive measures.

He urged all to make constant learning for skills development of the staff. The attendees later reported on production of the electricity, condition of power grids and maintaining tasks, sending and distribution of power.

The Union Minister fullfiled the requirements. In the evening, the Union Minister  attended a dinner reception and made a speech.

The reception was held to honour the officers of power plants and sub-power stations for timely completion of repaired  work at the power grid and those who took part in current power distribution process during the 2022-2023 fiscal year as well as the dance troupe members representing the Ministry during the Thingyan Water Festival.
