Coordination meeting: Union Minister attended meeting on industrial registration

The coordination meeting on complying the law and by-law released by the Ministry of Industry and the related Ministries in the process of registration for private industrial enterprises was held at Center of Excellence in Mayangone Township, Yangon Region in the evening on January 14 with the attendance of the Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than.

First, the deputy minister U Ko Ko Lwin reported the process of registration for industrial enterprises, inspection at industrial workplaces, inspection to boiler and electrical usage, policy set by the state and the status of implementation for drawing and enacting the new private industrial enterprises law and the director-general of the Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection clarified the processes to be carried out in the registration of industrial enterprises.

Then, the chairman of Myanmar Engineering Council explained regarding the restricted industries and those permitted with limitation and the joint-secretary of UMFCCI clarified the difficulties facing by the industries, the federation’s efforts for dissemination of cutting edge technologies and fulfillment of necessary assistances required by the local private industrial entrepreneurs.

Afterward, the attendees discussed the systematic development of domestic industrial enterprises, production of products met the quality and the matters not to impact on the environment and the union minister gave a speech of conclusion.

On 15th January, the Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than accompanied by the deputy minister and Mon State government minister for economic affairs inspected No (22) Heavy Industry (Beelin) and gave the necessary guidelines to the responsible officials.

Next, the union minister and party also inspected the Industrial Alcohol Factory (Beelin) and Sugar Mill (Beelin) and gave necessary instructions.
