Coordination Meeting: Revising curriculums of subjects discussed

The work coordination meeting for revising curriculums of the Universities of Technology and universities of computer studies under the Department of Advanced Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and Technology to be conformed with the KG+12 new education system was held at the Ministry, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on April 6 with the presence of Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, Deputy Minister Dr. Aung Zayya and senior officials.

In his opening remark, the Union Minister said the curriculums of the subjects need to conform to the new education system as the students who completed high school education under the new KG+12 system at the end of 2023-2024 academic year will join the Universities of Technology and universities of computer studies.

The curriculums should be developed with the Credit systems and quality assurance system to be in line with the international standards and norms. It’s needed to conduct the refresher courses for the teachers to uplift their teaching quality and to teach with practical lessons, practical lab equipments and teaching aids.

Atthe meeting, the director general of the Department of Advanced Science andTechnology, rectors, pro-rectors and teachers of related subjects clarified thestatus of preparation of curriculums to be conformed with the KG+12 new systemand the plans to be conducted in the futureindetaila and the Union Minister gavenecessary instructions on the clarifications.
