





A work coordination meeting on four places of Sanvejaniya in Nay Pyi Taw including Birth place of Buddha, place of his enlightenment, place of his first sermon of Dhammacakka Sutta and place of his demise, was held at the Ministry on 9th October.
Speaking at the meeting, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin said that the Government built the replica of Mahabodhi Temple and Sattasattāhamahābodhi Pagoda in Pubbathiri and Uttarathiri Townships in Nay Pyi Taw for Myanmar Buddhists who have difficulties making a pilgrimage to Bodh Gaya of India.
The relevant engineering professionals are urged to calculate the cost of renovation of religious buildings and polishing process for the all-round renovation of four places of Samvejaniya Pagoda and arrangements to be made for putting it into Pagoda Digital Directory Web Portal under developing according to the guidance of the head of State.
Next, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman gave remark on the implementation of the guidance of SAC Chairman Prime Minister and coordinating with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture regarding with the works of all-round renovation of the pagoda.
Then, the meeting attendees discussed the related sectors regarding with the all-round renovation of the pagoda. After giving supplemented discussion by the Union Minister, the meeting was concluded, it’s learnt.
