Coordination Meeting: Preparations for a multiparty democratic general election

The government continued preparations for a nationwide multiparty democratic general election. As part of these efforts, the Kayah State Government held a coordination meeting at the State Government Office on Saturday.

Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin attended the meeting, and made a speech, emphasizing on the inclusion of all eligible voters and the exclusion of ineligible individuals through accurate voter lists to ensure a free and fair multiparty democratic general election within the state.

He stressed that security must be prioritized throughout the election period with appropriate measures in place and urged all election staff to perform their duties diligently as a national responsibility. The attendees reported on the planned sectoral activities, work implementation and coordination status.
