Coordination Meeting: Preparations for basic education exams in Rakhine State

A coordination meeting regarding the successful holding of examinations for 2023-2024 academic year took place at Rakhine State Government office on Thursday. During the meeting, Chief Minister U Htein Lin said the Ministry of Education is implementing the new education curriculum in basic education sector to be in conformity with the changing trend of age.

The KG+12 System has been implemented since 2016-2017 academic year, and in 2024, the matriculation exam of new education curriculum will be conducted for the first time. The Chief Minister stressed the need to hold the exams successfully without any bias. 

Next, the State education officer and attendees reported the preparations for Grade-5, Grade-9 and Grade-12 exams in Districts and townships respectively.  Upon the reports, members of the state government supplemented the requirements and the State Chief Minister coordinated the needs.
