





A coordination meeting for the successful holding of the 2025 Multi-Party Democracy General Election was held at the Zabuthiri Hall of the Nay Pyi Taw Council on November 26.
Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo, council members, and departmental officials attended the meeting. First, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo delivered the opening remarks, stating that a total of 626 polling stations are planned within the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory to facilitate voting for eligible citizens.
He added that in 245 wards and village-tracts across the eight townships of Nay Pyi Taw, 1,883 ward/village-tract commission members have been formed. He further explained that the second display period for the voter list, lasting 14 days from November 21 to December 4, is being carried out at the ward/village-tract sub-election commission offices and to the villages.
Responsible officials are urged to encourage residents of each ward and village-tract to check whether their names are included in the currently displayed voter lists. After that, member of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Col Ye Moe, along with representatives from the relevant departments, presented updates on preparations being undertaken for the successful holding of the 2025 Multi-Party Democracy General Election. Then, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman provided the necessary coordination based on the presentations.
