Coordination Meeting: NDMC held meeting on flood victims in Kachin State

National Disaster Management Committee held its work coordination meeting at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement on 3rd July in the presence of the Chairman of the committee, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win. Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister urged to conduct effective rescue measures at flooded areas of Kachin State and to accelerate the comprehensive preparadenss to be able to response the possible flooding and inundating along Ayeyawady and Chindwin rivers systematically.

Then, the concerned officials from the respective ministries and organizations presented reports matters on collaborative activities between personnel and local residents as well as the river flooding conditions. Then, Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation donated a total of 3 million kyats cash assistance for the flood victims in Kachin State.

It's reported that Tatmadaw aircraft transported a total of 175,000 tuna cans donated by chairman of the Myanmar Rice Federation and relief aids including tarpaulin sheets, clothes and medicine donated by the National Disaster Mnagement Committee, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement to the flood victims in Kachin State on 3rd July.
