Coordination meeting: MoRAC Union Minister attended DANM meeting

The work coordination meeting of the Department of Archeology and National Museum on 2022-2023 fiscal year third quarterly completion of work implementation and work to be done in 2023-2024 fiscal year was held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 23rd March with the presence of Union Minister U Ko Ko, Deputy Minister Daw Nu Mya Zan and senior officials.  

At the meeting, the Union Minister U Ko Ko said that the Department of Archeological Research and National Museums are making discoveries of ancient historic areas, buildings and articles and safeguarding as well as the libraries, as the centers of knowledge, are giving service of information. Moreover, Primate Research and the research of Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age, ancient cities and archeological sites are being conducted and the long term sustainability of cultural heritage buildings and articles. The libraries and museums are needed to be the knowledge and information centers while the museums are required to be upgraded as Digital Museum and cultural museums and libraries are being expanded.

Next, the Deputy Minister Daw Nu Mya Zan clarified the requirements to be conducted by the department. And then, the director general reported the completion of work implementation for 2022-2023 Fiscal Year and the tasks to be done and the In-charges of divisions and units explained the works completed, ongoing tasks and works to be done and the director general supplemented necessaries.
