Coordination meeting: Mon State CM gave opening remark

The successfully completing uninterrupted reciting of Mahapathana Dhamma discourses was held at Kyaikthanlan Pagoda in Mawlamyaing Township of Mon State in the morning on May 10 with the attendance of Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, Commander of South-East Command Brigadier General Soe Min and state ministers.

The congregation first observed five precepts administered by the presiding Sayadaw of Pitaka Taik Kyaung Sarthintaik, took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha and offered the offertories to the Sangha. After taking the sermon delivered by the presiding Sayadaw of Shwe Taung monastery, the ceremony was concluded. The coordination meeting for the victory of the Mon State represented U-15 and U-18 football teams was held at the office of state government in the morning with the opening remark of the Chief Minister stressing the victory of the Mon State represented football teams, improvement of sports of the state and turning out the new generation athletes.

Next, the director of Mon State Sports and Physical education department clarified the status for taking part in the U-15 and U-18 football tournaments and the state ministers and officials supplemented necessary points and the Chief Minister coordinated requirements in responding to the clarification and discussion.
