Coordination meeting: MoI Union Minister gave opening remark

The coordination meeting regarding with the development status of steel mill construction works was held at the meeting hall of the No (2) Steel Mill (Pang Pet) in Taunggyi Township of Shan State in the afternoon on 19th November and attended by the Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, officials and staff members.

In his opening remark, the Union Minister said as the No (2) Steel Mill (Pang Pet) project is one of the country’s strategic projects, the collective effort is needed to implement successfully, as the inspection and maintenance of equipment installed in the mill by the staff members and domestic professionals will be inspected by the outside professionals, the necessary arrangements are needed to be able to clarify the work done systematically.

Next, the Director General of the Minister’s Office clarified the systematic serving duties of the personnel with the well-dressed uniform in line with the directive of the office of State Administration Council, the rules to be adhered by the individual personnel, timely auditing on the works implemented with the capital expenditure during 2023-2024 fiscal year.

Then, the In-Charge of the Mill and the Mill Project Construction Group explained the status of works done, ongoing works and remaining tasks and the Union Minister gave the necessary instruction.In the evening, the Union Minister arrived at the Taunggyi district directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection in Ayethaya of Taunggyi Township, met with the personnel, provided materials and cash assistance and cordially greeted the personnel.
