Coordination Meeting: MOI Union Minister addressed the development of MFI

The coordination meeting for uplifting film industries and organizing Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Award for 2023 was held at the meeting hall of Film Promotion Division under the Information and Public Relations Department, Bahan Township, Yangon in the evening on 12th October with the presence of Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn.
Speaking at the meeting, the Union Minister said the status of film industry has restored nearly normal condition. The collective effort had to be made to resume normal operation of film industry halted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the moment, the difficulties encountering of complete produced films for showing in the cinema and ways to overcome it are needed to find solution. Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Award for 2019, 2020, 2022 was organized by the State and it was a honorable occasion for receiving positive feedback from the public.
And Myanmar Motion Picture Association is urged to discuss how to manage for the ceremony of Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Award for 2023. Moreover, the association needs to connect with the relevant organizations for the participation of Myanmar film in the international film festival and to help for producing quality films.
Then, the Chairman of Myanmar Motion Picture Association U Kyi Soe Tun and the attendees reported the plans to be implemented for organizing ceremony of presenting Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Award and the Union Minister coordinated requirements and gave a speech of conclusion.
