





Union Minister for Health Prof. Dr. Thet Khaing Win gave an opening remark at the coordination meeting between the Director General of the Department of Human Resources for Health and the principals from the Nursing/Midwife related Training Schools in the Regions and States in the afternoon on 23rd of May through Semi Virtual Meeting.
In his remark, the Union Minister said that from 53 Nursing and Midwife related training schools, the nurses and midwives have been turning out and the nursing and midwife education are being uplifting at the home and abroad. In the part of teaching, it’s important to turn out the nurses and midwives who are endowed with the qualification and ability in line with the country’s requirement for the healthcare as well as those who comply with the ethics and have the good attitude during the training period, teaching methods in practical teaching with international level curricula, teaching aids, requirements for Skill Labs, modern books that need to be kept in the library, Internet Access, records, difficulties encountered in the time and place of teaching, advantages and disadvantages, regarding the administration and management of the training school, matters to be complied by those who are engaged in public finance management, It’s needed to have an open and active discussion in order to share the difficulties with each other and achieve better results. The Government increased the assistance for the trainees and the relevant Regions and States Government are providing assistance constantly.
Next, the accreditation certificates were awarded to the nursing and midwife training schools by Myanmar Nurse and Midwife Council, prizes to the outstanding trainees at the trainings opened by the Civil Service Academy (Lower Myanmar), and certificate of honor who received the honorary awards and medal from the Regions and States during the tenure of the State Administration Council.
The meeting was attended 87 principals from the Regions and States and special guests and the meeting will be held for two days, it’s learnt.
