






The Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe held a coordination meeting with the rectors from the Universities, Principals from the Educational Degree Colleges and education head officers from the regions and states at meeting hall of office no.13 of the Ministry of Education in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 20th March.
First, the Union Minister expressed words of honor for the teachers who served the assigned duties successfully on holding 2022-2023 academic year basic education examination, matriculation exam and university exams thanks to the collaborative efforts of the teachers.
As 2022-2023 academic year could be successfully passed, the advance preparations should be carried out from now on to pass the 2023-2024 academic year in a successful manner.
On coming May 23rd, the basic education schools’ enrolment week will be commenced as well as the first year (second semester) students to inform the relevant university, degree college and college on that date while the enrolment of students from second year and above is tentatively set to accept on 23rd of May.
In coming May, the professors and associate professors from the universities need to attend the central level new curriculum training course for Grade-12 and Grade-9 and the multiplier course will be conducted for the high school teachers from the designated districts and townships as per the university.
The educational conference of the Ministry of Education will be organized at the beginning of May and the sector-wise participation from the basic education sector, advance education sector, teachers training sector, departmental sector, sub high schools sector of industry, agriculture and livestock breeding with the reading paper and exhibition of display booths.
The Union Minister also urged to prepare for the inter-ministerial universities football tournament and International Research Symposium. Next, the deputy Minister Dr. Zaw Myint clarified the plans to be implemented in detail and the permanent secretary Dr. Soe Win discussed in giving suggestion. After giving speech of conclusion by the Union Minister, the meeting was concluded.
