





The 2nd coordination meeting of vocational industries rehabilitation work committee was held at the Ministry of Cooperative and Rural Development, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 27th April with the opening remark of the work committee Chairman Union Minister U Hla Moe.
In his opening remark, the Union Minister said that since, the natural disasters can be encountered without discrimination of time, place and nationality; it’s needed to constant preparedness in advance to be ready. It’s also required to observe without lossng sight of the nature of natural disasters occurring along with the global climate change.
Myanmar includes in the countries that rank highest accordint to the Global Climate Risk Index 2021.Therefore, by conducting forecast on the impending natural disasters as per the season and regon, the best responsive plans utilizing existing available resources are needed to draw in advance.
The Union Minister added one natural disasters of tornado hit the Aung Myin Gone and Tadar-U Villages on 21st April and left damages of 232 houses and other buildings and 113 people injured. The committee members ministries provided foodstuffs, rural water supply and rehabilitations to the disaster hit villages.
The head of state instructed to make collective efforts by the relevant departments for the agriculture and livestock breeding to resettle those villages as quickly as possible. So, the related departments need to discuss how to implement the agriculture and livestock breeding by finding out the current requirements of the villages.
Next, the work committee Vice Chairman, secretary and committee members discussed the related sectors and the work committee chairman Union Minister coordinated requirements.
