Coordination Meeting: MoALI Union Minister held meeting on agriculture

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung gave an opening speech at a coordination meeting regarding with the cultivation project of mung bean, supper paddy and oil crop of sunflower with the Country’s Economic Promotion Fund held at the Ministry, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 9th April.

The Union Minister said in line with the state’s policy “only when the good economic environment can be created, the economic development of the country can be implemented” the Country’s Economic Promotion Fund was established for the agricultural development of the farmers and increase of per capita income.

The cultivation of mung bean in Yangon, Bago and Ayeyawady Regions has been harvested. The summer paddy has been growing in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Bago, Magway, Mandalay, Yangon and Ayeyawady and the crop will be harvested soon. The respective regions and states government need to supervise for the farmers’ repayment in accordance with the contract not to lose of state revenue etc.

Next, the director general of the agriculture department Dr. Ye Tint Tun clarified the cultivation project of mung bean, supper paddy and oil crop of sunflower. Then, the member of Nay Pyi Taw Council, regions and states ministers reported the work implementation, plans to be done regarding with the cultivation project of mung bean, supper paddy and oil crop of sunflower and the Union Minister, deputy ministers and attendees coordinated requirements.
