Coordination meeting: MGY CM held meeting with departmental officials

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin held a coordination meeting with region level departmental officials to successfully implementthe socio-economic and regional development in Magway Region was held at City Hall of Magway on 30th September.

At the meeting, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin stated that as of September 15, a total of over 3.947 million acres have been cultivated out of the targeted over 5.524 million acres for the 2024–2025 crop planting season in Magway Region. He urged everyone to work hard to achieve the targeted yields.

Following the guidance of the Head of State, the relevant departments and district administration bodies were instructed to collaborate and make special efforts to ensure that the tree plantations in five districts of Magway Region, with two acres per village and three rows by roadside and to reach 100% survival. Additionally, instructions were given to replant any dead trees with new ones to ensure full growth.

In the education sector, arrangements have been made to compensate for the school days lost due to flooding by conducting makeup classes on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and religious holidays once the schools can reopen.

As Magway Region is working towards improving its economy, ensuring agricultural yields meet targets, supporting livestock breeders, and advancing the education and health sectors, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of all departments working together with dedication and cooperation to achieve these goals.

Next, the secretary of Region Government reported the decisions made in meeting (7/2024), Region Ministers clarified upon the reports of the Region level departmental officials and the Chief Minister coordinated requirements and gave a speech of conclusion.
