Coordination Meeting: Meeting Of Working Committee On Bogyoke Aung San Biopic Held

The Bogyoke Aung San Biographical Film Production working committee held its 11th coordination meeting at Kokkine Avenue, Bahan Township of Yangon on Saturday.

Thura U Aung Ko, the chairman of the committee, who is also the Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture, gave the necessary guidelines regarding with the preproduction process of the film. U Tun Ohn, the secretary of the committee, explained the ongoing tasks and works to be done for the film production. And U Lu Min, the committee’s joint secretary-2 discussed the conditions in shooting the film.

The departmental officials from working committee and sub-committees, artistes, technicians and the invited guests attended the meeting and discussed especially the very first production ceremony of the film to be held on coming September 24th.

Joint Secretary (2), Bogyoke Aung San Film Production working committee, Lu Min said “We are going to launch the first production ceremony on coming September 24th. It will be first at Shwe Dagon Pagoda on early morning and the ceremony will be continued at the Novotel Yangon Max Hotel. We will announce all the casts who will star in the film and the detailed production plans of it. We estimated production period to be taken for the five months starting from October to the next year February.”

It takes about eight years for pre production stage of the Bogyoke Aung San Biographical Film because of the limitation of budget, the difficulties for setting props and the historical data to be confirmed. The very first production ceremony is going to launch in coming September 24th.
