Coordination meeting: Meeting on purchasing, distributing Urea Fertilizer held

The coordination meeting of the Urea Fertilizer Purchasing, Distribution and Sale Steering Committee was held at the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on Tuesday and attended by Union Minister U Hla Moe, Deputy Ministers U Myint Soe, U Min Min and officials.

At the meeting, Union Minister U Hla Moe gave an opening speech saying the purposes of holding meeting are to discuss for the release of Yangon stationed reference price, giving recommendation prioritizing the agricultural companies which have earnings from export, correct specifications for FOB price to Yangon as it involves spending foreign currency and preventing market manipulations etc.

The members Department are urged to supervise not to store, manipulate and flipping and to inspect the shops and warehouses to scrutinize whether they sell in the reference price or not.Next, the steering Committee secretary and Chairman of Myanmar Fertilizer, Seed and Pesticide Entrepreneurs Association clarified the implementation of decisions made in the previous meeting and supervising to sell in line with the reference price, distribution and selling,

Consequently, the Deputy Ministers U Myint Soe and U Min Min supplemented requirements in the implementation and the steering Committee members and representatives of departments gave necessary suggestions. Upon the clarifications, Union minister gave necessary instruction and coordinated requirements.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited InPin Village of Tatkone Township and met with the members cotton farmers of NyeinChanthaya Agricultural and General business cooperative society and heard the clarification of region staff officer of the Department of Cooperative about the agricultural matter of 1440 acres of monsoon season cotton cultivation.In responding to the clarification, the Union Minister gave necessary instruction in detail.

Next, the Union Minister provided 150 bags of RAKA-666 cotton seeds and 162 bags of Aubar Compound Fertilizer to the members farmers of cotton cooperative society.After that, the Union Minister and party inspected the status of cotton cultivation of the member farmers.
