Coordination meeting: Meeting for preparedness of natural disasters held

The coordination meeting of Sagaing Region Natural Disasters Management Committee was held at the Region Government office in Monywa Township in the morning on 2nd July.

The meeting was attended by Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, Chief Justice of Region High Court, Region Government Ministers, members of Region Natural Disasters Management Committee and Chairman of Monywa District Administration Body and the Chairman of the Leading Body of Naga Self-Administered Zone, Chairmen of Kalay, Katha, Khamti, Sagaing, Yay-U, Shwebo, Homlin districts attended the meeting through Video Conferencing System.

First, the Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw gave an opening speech.

Next, the secretary and members of Region Natural Disasters Management Committee clarified the preparedness and preparations for rescue, accommodation, food, education, health, resettlement, agriculture, livestock breeding, drinking water and irrigation water with Power point.

Next, the Chairman of the Leading Body of Naga Self-Administered Zone, Chairmen of Kalay, Katha, Khamti, Sagaing, Yay-U, Shwebo, Homlin districts reported the preparations for the natural disasters in the districts and townships.

Then, the Region Government Ministers and meeting attendees supplemented necessary discussions on the status of preparing for the natural disasters.

The Chief Minister coordinated and fulfilled the requirements on the clarifications and reports and gave a speech of conclusion.
