Coordination meeting: Meeting on organizing Waso Robe offering held

The coordination meeting for holding to offer Waso Robe successfully organized by Rakhine State Government was held at the State Government office in the morning on 22nd July and attended by Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, State Government members, departmental officials and invited guests.

In his opening remark, Patron of Leading Committee for Organizing Waso Robe offering ceremony, State Chief Minister U Htein Lin said that Rakhine State Government has been organizing Waso Robe Offering ceremony yearly with the aims at the members of Sangha in Rakhine State to be able to pursue more Sasana duties and the perpetuation of Buddha Sasana. The Waso Robe will be offerred the the Sangha representatives Sayadaws, Ovadacariya Sayadaws and elder Sayadawgyis residing in Rakhine State this year.

Next, the secretary of leading Committee State head officer of the Department of Religious Affairs clarified the arrangements to organize the Waso Robe offering ceremony and the Chairmen and secretaries of work committees explained the plans to be implemented. Upon the clarifications, State Ministers gave supplemented discussion and the Chief Minister discussed the necessary matters and gave a speech of conclusion.
