Coordination meeting: Meeting on organizing Union Day in Sittwe held

A coordination meeting for the successful celebration of the 78th Union Day was held at the Rakhine State Government office on January 16, and attended by Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, StateGovernment members, and departmental officials at the state, district, and township levels.

During the meeting, Chief Minister U Htein Lin emphasized that committees for organizing the 78th Union Day celebration had been systematically formed and assigned duties to ensure its successful celebration in Sittwe, Rakhine State. He urged the relevant departments to make every effort to ensure the success of the ceremony and encouraged committee chairs to continuously supervise and ensure the successful execution of their tasks.

Subsequently, the committees tasked with organizing the 78th Union Day celebration were briefed by the Director of the Rakhine State Government Office. The respective committee secretaries also presented their plans and actions to ensure the success of the event.

After that, members of the state government offered additional suggestions and discussed the plans. The Chief Minister then provided further clarification and delivered concluding remarks.

On the evening of January 15, Chief Minister U Htein Lin attended a coordination meeting for urban development in Sittwe. During the meeting, he addressed issues such as the cleanliness and beautification of Sittwe, improvement of water supply and drainage systems, market cleanliness, and effective management of land use. He urged relevant departments to systematically implement their respective plans.

Furthermore, the chairman of the Sittwe District Administration Body presented a report on the progress of urban development activities and future plans for Sittwe. The state government members provided additional suggestions, and the Chief Minister responded with further discussion and delivered concluding remarks.
