Coordination Meeting: Meeting for organizing Thingyan water festival in Myitkyina

1384 Myanma Traditional Thingyan Festival will be held resoundingly in Myitkyina, Kachin State with water pandals/entertainment pandals including the central water pandal of Kachin State Government along with walking Thingyan, according to the 3rd coordination meeting on organizing Maha Thingyan Water Festival that was held at the State Government office on 28th March.

At the meeting, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan said that this year Myanma traditional Thingyan water festival will be held grandly different from the previous years. He called on departments and business groups to cooperate for organizing the water festival with full essence and in a grand manner.

The steering committee, members of sub-committees and local business men discussed the needs for construction of entertainment pandals/water throwing pandals including the central pandal at the water festival, progress of works, matters for spending budget and requirments.

In response to the reports, the State Chief Minister coodinated essentials. On 27th March, the State Chief Minister together with the State Level village project supervisory committee members viewed around initiative measures for installation of rubber grinding machine and distillers for boosting production of high quality rubber flats at the rubber farm of Sein Mya Ayeya Rubber Production Cooperative Society with the state economic promotion fund near Lwe Khaw village.

The Chief Minister coordinated with departments for increasing production of rubber flats, plans to send rubber products to the market and availability of electricity.
