Coordination Meeting: Meeting Of Central Farmland Management Committee Held

The coordination meeting of the Central farmland management committee was held at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Nay Pyi Taw, Tuesday afternoon in line with the health directives on the COVID-19 preventive measures.

The meeting was attended by Committee Chairman Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo, deputy chairman deputy minister Dr. Aung Gyi, member of Nay Pyi Taw Council Col. Min Naung and committee members.

At the meeting, the matters submitted by the farmland management committees including matter to discuss to enact the farmland by law (draft) according to the revised farmland law during the 4th coordination meeting of the central committee in 2020 held in the tenure of the State Administration Council, Matter on granting compensation for the farmlands seized for the state’s projects as per the fiscal year, submission of application to use farmland in other way for the religious matter, regional development and agricultural sector, submission of application for the permit to cultivate alternative crops, matter on applications submitted for shifting use of vacant, falllow and virgin land as farmland were discussed.
