Coordination meeting: Matters on confiscated farmlands & other lands discussed

The coordination meeting of the Committee for Reviewing and Scrutinizing Confiscated farmland and other lands in Taninthayi Region was held at the Region Government office in Dawei Township in the morning on 13th August.

At the meeting, Committee Chairman Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko gave an opening remark saying that the meeting held on the matters of some reclaiming on the lands confiscated based on the necessary matters and the lands returned by the Region Government. There are multiple purposes of confiscating the lands as well as laws relating to the land issues. The Committee members are urged to decide correctly and fairly with collective coordination for the owners not to hurt.

Next, the Committee secretary clarified the plans to be implemented on the reports and complaints regarding with the confiscation of farmland and other lands and the joint-secretary explained about the case files in the hand of Committee for Reviewing and Scrutinizing Confiscated farmland and other lands in the Region.

After supplementing and clarifying by the Region Ministers and Committee members regarding with the status of implementation and action plans, Region Chief Minister coordinated requirements, it’s reported.
