Coordination meeting: Kachin State CM addressed the meeting

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan presided over a work coordination meeting with the departmental officials at the Malikha Hall of the State Government office on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister urged to accelerate the state development process based on livestock breeding sector.

As the monsoon paddy cultivation of the state increased over 500,000 acres this year, it’s important to facilitate preparations to meet target yield, to accelerate mutlti cropping, to provide the necessary agricultural inputs and to supply sufficient water.  And, tasks will be implemented for the development of the socioeconomic life of the people and the state.

Then, the director of the state government office clarified the state development process being carried out with the union fund and state fund and tasks to be implemented. Then, the departmental officials made sector-wise discussions.

Then, the Chief Minister coordinated requirements on implementing hydropower projects and local food sufficiency of the Putao and Tanai regions.

Then, the Chief Minister accompanied by State Minister for Natural Resources oversaw the collective cleaning tasks and land preparations to plant ornamental plants along Union Road carried out by departmental officials and staff from City Development Committee and Kachin State Clean & Green Team members. Then, they inspected the arrival of five Tank Carriers purchased by state government fund and preparations to construct new City Hall in Myitkyina Township.
