Coordination Meeting : Graduation and admission of Medicine Universities

A work coordination meeting (1/2024) of the Union Minister for Health, Director General from the Department of Human Resources for Health, and Rectors from Universities was held at the meeting hall of Department of Human Resources for Health on Thursday.

At the meeting, Union Minister Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win made an opening speech and urged to discuss for the holding of graduation ceremonies for those who have completed internships at the Universities of Medicines and Dental Medicines as well as those who have successfully passed the final year exam and released the list of graduates from post-graduate courses at the Medicines related Universities.   

He also urged to carry out the new curriculum of basic and first year undergraduate for those who passed the matriculation exam with KG+12 curriculum and entry of Medicines Universities, matters on selection process related with admission numbers, gender ratio and skills requirements.

He added that plans are being made to increase supporting in allowance of education and food expenses for students of nursing/midwifery schools. He said the Government has been providing the necessary teaching aids and continue to fulfill in future. Then Union Minister gave necessary instructions for the undergraduate/graduated courses, personnel, and financial matters submitted by Deputy Minister for Health, and Universities Rectors.
