Coordination Meeting: Efforts for Tanintharyi Region

Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko met with the regional level ministers and departmental officials atthe Regional Government Office.

At the meeting, the Chief Minister explained further guidance by the Prime Minister regardingthe Five-Point Road Map and Nine Objectives of the State Administration Council. Discussion was also made on the undertakings by the Regional Government and plansunder the Road Map and Objectives.

He also said that the government's 2 political goals are to strengthen a multi-party democratic system that is full of genuine discipline and to builda union based on democracy and federalism.The two national goals are the country's prosperity and food security.

Regarding the agriculture sector in the region, rice is important input for the food security.It is necessary for the relevant departments to support mechanized farming. He also stressed the importance of livestock sector. Also, the Chief Minister explained the regional government’s efforts for the public regrading electrification and education.
