Coordination meeting: DPM MoPF UM delivered an opening remark

The Myanma Economic Bank (MEB) under the Ministry of Planning and Finance held its 2024-2025 fiscal year-end closing operations coordination meeting at Myat Pan Thazin Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on February 17.

At the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Planning and Finance  U Win Shein emphasized that Myanma Economic Bank (MEB), as a trusted state-owned bank, must work to increase public deposits, effectively utilize deposited funds, and ensure the provision of high-quality loans in accordance with banking regulations and procedures.

Managers were instructed to continuously supervise and monitor loan disbursement and usage to ensure systematic processes, timely repayments, and a reduction in outstanding debts.

MEB organizes annual fiscal year-end closing operations coordination meetings. This year's meeting, held in collaboration with the Central Bank of Myanmar, includes sector-specific discussions and banking-related paper presentations, continuing until February 21.
