Coordination Meeting: Discussion to send aid to Putao area

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan on Monday presided over a coordination meeting to send aid to Putao area.

In this meeting at the regional Government office, the Chief Minister stressed that currently, cargo trucks don’t used the Myitkyina-Sumprabum-Putao Union Highway due to security reasons; commodity prices are rising and basic foodstuffs need to be sent to Putao area.

And, discussions were made to send basic foodstuffs and medicines to Putao by air, and the Chief Minister urged the concerned officials to implement the plan as soon as possible. It’s reported that the Kachin State Government has been sending diesel and fuel oil to Putao area since April for agricultural processes.
