Coordination Meeting: Development of industries and industrial zones

A coordination meeting on the future plans for development of industries and industrial zones took place at Yangon Region Government Office on Sunday.

The Union Minister explained the enactment of Industrial Zone Law and Bylaws, formation of the Central Committee for Development of Industries and Industrial Zone, its mission and future plans, and establishment of new industrial zones.

Yangon Region Chief Minister and ministers discussed the condition of industries in the region, land utilization and efforts for development of industrial zones.

The Union Minister later visited the Textile and Garment Production Technology Development Center in Insein Township, and inspected the quality testing of cotton, textile and garment. On arrival at the Pharmaceutical Factory (Insein), the Union Minister instructed for timely production of medicines, ordered by the Ministries of Defence, Health and Labour.
