Coordination Meeting: CEPF Management Committee held meeting

The coordination meeting (3/2024) of Country’s Economic Promotion Fund Management Committee was held at the Ministry of Planning and Finance in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on 14th August.

The meeting was attended by Committee Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein and Committee members Union Ministers U Min Naung, U Hla Moe. Dr. Charlie Than, U Tun Ohn and permanent secretaries and heads of departments.

In his remark at the meeting, Committee Chairman elaborated the status completing loan disbursement and repayment to the Ministry of Planning and Finance, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, 14 Regions and States and 6 of Self-Administered Division and Zones Administration Bodies from 1st September, 2022 to 30th June, 2024, the suspension of loan principal and interest due to the regional situations and hitting of Cyclonic Storm Mocha, specification of loan contract value for summer and monsoon paddy and oil crops submitted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation etc.

Next, the Committee members Union Ministers conducted detailed coordinated discussion regarding with the relevant sectors. The Committee secretary clarified the completed implementations on the decisions made by meeting (2/2024), issues to be documented and approved, to disburse loan for fertilizer, oil mill loan and loan for inputs in time, the attendees gave necessary suggestions and the Committee Chairman coordinated requirements and gave a speech of conclusion.
