Coordination Meeting: 2024 Population and Housing Census Enumeration

A work coordination meeting for 2024 Population and Housing Census Enumeration was held at the Magway Township city hall of Magway Region on 27th August and it was attended by Chairman of the Central Census Commission Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing, Chairman of Magway Region’s Population and Household Census Steering Committee, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and Committee members, members of Magway Region Government, region, district, township, wards and villages census committee members, volunteering organizations and officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of the Central Census Commission Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing highlighted that the 2024 nationwide census enumeration is set to be conducted from 1st to 15th October and is only 1 month period left.

He added that the census reference time is set to be midnight on 30th September 2024 and will be collected based on the data of the estimated population over 56 million from13 million households in 2024.

Union Minister also urged the various levels of the committee to plan and work in advance as a national duty, ensuring that all activities are completed within the specified period as it is an important process for the state. In the afternoon, Union Minister inspected regional level instructor training course of Census Enumeration at the Magway District Administration office and gave necessary instructions.
