Cooperation on Legal Affairs: UAGO meets Russian Prosecutor General during 8th EEF

Union Minister for Legal Affairs, Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo met with the Russian Prosecutor General Mr. Igor Krasnov in Vladivostok to discuss matters related to the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation on Legal Affairs.

The Union Minister was in Russia to attend the 8th Eastern Economic Forum (8th EEF), held from September 10th to 13th.

During the meeting, they discussed a scholarship program for legal officers from the Ministry at the Russian School of Law of Far Eastern Federal University, aimed at capacity building.

They also explored cooperation in conducting research on legal affairs, launching an awareness campaign on legal knowledge, combating terrorism and money laundering, and exchanged insights on bilateral laws.

During the 8th Eastern Economic Forum, the Union Minister served as a Panelist Speaker, addressing the topic of "Protected Business as the Foundation of Sustainable Economic Development."
