Cooperation in legal affairs: Delegation led by MoLA UM visits Russian Federation

At the invitation of the Prosecutor General of the Russian FederationH.E. Mr. IGOR KRASNOV, Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister for Legal Affairs, Union Attorney General Dr Thida Oo paid an official visit to Russian Federation and held meeting with the Prosecutor General H.E. Mr. IGOR KRASNOV.

At the meeting, the matters to be collaborated between the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation regarding with the legal affairs, exchange visies of legal experts for exchanging legal systems of both countries, joint-discussions, conferences, workshops and sharing legal experience and learning and scholarship program for the new Generation law officers under the Ministry of Legal Affairs to study legal education at the universities under the office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation and the plans to be implemented between the ministry and the office of Prosecutor general of the Russian Federation during 2024-2025 were cordially discussed.

Next, as the commencing implementation of the cooperation plan (2024-2025) according to the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the office of Prosecutor general of the Russian Federation, bilateral legal panel discussion under the topic of Structure, Objectives and Organization Activities of the Ministry of Legal Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation was held with the discussion of the Union Minister Union Attorney General leader of Myanmar delegation Dr. Thida Oo and the representatives of the office of Prosecutor general of the Russian Federation discussed the matters under the related topics.

The Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Legal Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on 12th May, 2023 and the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the the office of Prosecutor general of the Russian Federation on 22nd March, 2023 were signed and the legal affairs are being collaborated, it’s learnt.
