Cooperation with IOM: MSWRR Union Minister receives Regional Director

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khine met Regional Director for Asia and Pacific of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Ms. Sarah Lou YsmaelArriola on Tuesday afternoon.

During the meeting at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw, they exchanged their views on cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the IOM and the Ministry, the government’s bracing for Cyclone Mocha, provision of humanitarian assistance to the people affected by the storm, repatriation of illegal migrants, and victims of human trafficking and their reintegration into the community.
