Convenient Arrangement :Efforts to promote sports sector and support for staff

The Government is making efforts for development of sports sector, and providing necessary assistance.

Efforts are being made not only to turn out the outstanding athletes but also to assist the welfare of the staffs under the Ministry of Sports and Youths Affairs.

In Magwe Region, a Township Office for Sports and Physical Education Department has been built during 2020-2021 financial year along with a one-story staff housing, comprised with four apartments.

Previously, the staff from the Township Department have to attend at the District Office. One of the staff expressed that the new facilities provide convenient working environ for them, compared to the previous situation.

Thida Htay ( Trainer),Department of Sports and Physical Education, Magway Township said "Two construction projects had been implemented in 2020-2021 financial year. In the past, there was no separate office for the township department. We had to attend at the District office. Previously, there was no staff housing for us, and we faced difficulties in transportation. Now, it is very convenient for us as we have a separate township office and staff housing."

The Magway township Sports and Physical Education Department is also working hard to turn out good athletes to represent the region by organizing the sports tournament.
