Contribution in rehabilitation tasks: MLCA commenced rehabilitation tasks for storm-hit areas

Myanmar Licensed Contractors Association collaborating with the partner organizations is commencing the rehabilitation and reconstruction works of schools and hospitals devastated by the very severe cyclonic storm “MOCHA”.

According to U Nay Lin, Chairman of Management Committee for rehabilitation of “MOCHA” Cyclone hit region formed by the Myanmar Licensed Contractors Association, MLCA has planned to rehabilitate and reconstruct the University of Computer Studies (Sittwe), Government Technical High School (Sittwe), 109 basic education schools and 30 buildings including hospital facilities and staff housing.

The rehabilitation and reconstruction works of schools and hospitals have been started since 22nd May and the donation of one hundred thousand of corrugated iron sheets and related materials worth around 1.5 billion Kyats is being prepared.In addition, MLCA is preparing necessary arrangements to donate charity feast to 10,000 people a day for a month.

For the charity feast, the necessary foodstuffs have been transporting as of May 24. To donate the charity feast, the MLCA and Bayintnaung commodity exchange center have commenced to transportover 300 food commodities to Rakhine State through Bo AungKyaw Jetty in Yangon, it’s leant.
