Several towns in southern Germany are experiencing rising water levels amidst heavy rain and several Bavarian districts have declared a state of emergency on Saturday.

Residents in the southern German states of Bavaria and Baden-Wurttemberg have been urged to exercise extreme caution on Saturday as dramatic evacuations took place across the region. The German Weather Service has issued severe weather warnings in more than 10 districts, with forecasts for more heavy rain over the next 24-48 hours.
