Construction Works: Children’s Hospital, CBM Mandalay Branch & Expressway

Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant, together with officials, inspected the construction of an 8-storey annex building for a 550-bed Children's Hospital and the Mandalay Branch of the Central Bank of Myanmar on Saturday.

Officials provided reports on the building design plan, progress based on budget allocations for each fiscal year, completed works, future plans, and quality testing for civil works, water, and power supply.

In response to the reports, the Union Minister instructed the team to meet international standards and implement a better security system, ensuring work site safety and timely completion. They then conducted a site tour of the construction area.

Then, the Union Minister met with staff from departments under the ministry representing 10 districts in the Mandalay Region. He listened to reports on ongoing projects and urged everyone to make concerted efforts to ensure smooth transportation flow and housing development for the people.

Later, the Union Minister and party inspected the conditions of roads and bridges along the Nay Pyi Taw-Mandalay section of the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway. They also viewed the planting of shady trees and flowers at the junction of the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway leading to the road to Maravijaya Buddha Park.
