Construction of Trade Zones: 2nd meeting of the Review Committee

The 2nd meeting of the Review Committee on the construction of Trade Zones and Camps near border line in accordance with the International process was held at the Union Minister’s Office of the Ministry of Planning and Finance on Friday with the attendance of the Deputy Minister U Maung Maung Win.

The Deputy Minister in his capacity as a chairman of the committee called on the departmental officials and region and state review committees to make sector-wise discussions and inquiries about whether the construction of trading zones and camps are being conducted in accordance with the international standards/processes and existing laws or not and whether the work implementations of the relevant departments and organizations are in compliance with international and internal laws or not. 

He also called for the effective elimination of illegal trading. Then, the Vice chairman of the committee and committee members presented reports on their respective roles and the chairman of the committee coordinated requirements. The meeting was concluded by the closing remarks of the chairman of the committee.
